Yacht Transport Methods

Yacht transport is a mode of water transport. It is slightly different from the other modes of water transport as it is used as a substitute of the old ways of motoring and even sailing. Here all the transportation is done in the yacht. The yacht transport is preferred more than others because it is comparatively safer. It is even cost effectual and most of the times available.

There is various yacht transport methods used depending upon the yacht so as to ensure safer transportation. These yacht transport methods are:

1. Float on / Float off method: – In this method a particular carrier are used that floats on the water. This carrier is then taken to the sunken part of the cargo and the boats are loaded in the yacht. Is avoids aggravated loading along with a safe and sound assignment.

2. Lift on / Lift off method: – Here cranes are used to load heavy and huge crafts. The yacht is then loaded on the board of the carrier. The cranes used in these yacht transport methods are very strong and also places it safely on the board.

3. Roll on / Roll off method: – In this technique a particular trailer or say plank like thing is placed on the cargo and the boat is gradually dragged in it. It is the most common method of yacht transport and being used from many times.

4. Deck Cargo: – Here the boat is directly boarded on to the deck of the cargo without any kind of weight constraints.

5. Inland Boat Transportation: – in this type of yacht transportation methods, the yacht is loaded at the destination which is far from the port. It is done so with the help of heavy trailers or haulers or even through tow trucks.

6. Boat Shipping Cradles: – as the name says, cradles are used for loading the yacht.

7. Containerized Services: – the yacht is placed in a container so as to place it carefully in one piece at the destination.
